Du lebst in Deiner Welt      Daisy Door
1971. The person being talked about in the song, who lives in his world, is a doctor - and he lives in his white doctor's world. He hardly understands anything about women - he doesn't want to know anything about the hardships of unwanted pregnancy. In those days, every abortion was punishable by law. In essence, the song describes the sacrifice of a young woman who terminates her pregnancy. At the time, Erik Ode was investigating as Der Kommissar. He smoked cigarettes called "mild variety" - and solved every case. Those were the days when hashish was still injected. Du lebst in Deiner Welt was played in the crime episode "Als die Blumen Trauer trugen". It was about revenge against a quack doctor. The music was actually recorded for "Der Kommissar" alone. No sound carrier was produced. There were so many requests for it that the single was quickly added.  Then Daisy Door was included in the ZDF hit parade and sold more than 500,000 copies.  Hardly anyone knew or knows what the song meaning was actually about. Interesting, remarkable is that the lyrics alternate between German and English. Very unusual at that time. The theme ... very hidden and hardly recognisable.
