Tragic, really tragic  ... does it still exist   ... something like the Geisha from Puccini's opera of 1903. Anyway, even in 2022 the schmonzette about Cio-Cio-San and the scabrous Pinkerton will be performed in opera houses in this country - and has not yet been completely corrected.  At least not for reasons that waft from corners where people like to educate others. Gottseidankfrank unreservedly welcomes all the devil's own stuff on the repertoire. Fortunately, no such supervised theatre visit yet, no such supervised museum visit either - then rather supervised drinking in front of the the keeper of my choice.
Maria Callas, she was the goddess among sopranos in the 20th century. 1923 to 1977. Great woman. Great artist. She gave, mastered and mastered more demanding works. But and so now ...
